Brend Zeekr, owned by Geely, has introduced the Zeekr Entertainment Hub, a new platform specifically designed for European users. The project is the result of collaboration between Geely Technology Europe and the renowned digital solutions provider 3 Screen Solutions (3SS). The new system is based on Android Automotive OS, which has already become an industry standard due to its flexibility and deep integration capabilities with vehicle hardware. The main feature of the Entertainment Hub is that Zeekr gains full control over the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) without being limited by standard Google templates. The platform provides access to content from over 15 global providers. The list includes streaming services, TV broadcasts, and news channels. Developers at 3SS note that drivers can now watch a series or check the latest news while the battery charges at a fast-charging station. Importantly, the system allows for the implementation of branded content, product updates, and exclusive offers without the need for heavy over-the-air (OTA) updates. Beyond entertainment, the hub functions as a personalized assistant. Thanks to built-in analytics, the system learns driver habits and offers relevant recommendations. It can adapt to driving scenarios and display service information directly on the screen in a practical format. At the same time, Zeekr does not intend to abandon conventional tools, as the new platform will complement, rather than replace, existing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems. Currently, Zeekr Europe is actively promoting four main models in the European Union market: the shooting brake models 001 and 7GT, as well as the crossovers X and 7X. All of them will gain access to the Entertainment Hub's capabilities.
