The upcoming international cycling race Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held over three days, from Friday, April 17, 2026, to Sunday, April 19, 2026. Organizers have announced difficult traffic conditions and periodic complete traffic stoppages on several main routes and in numerous cities and municipalities.
DAY 1: Friday, 17.04.2026 (Sarajevo – Konjic – Mostar) Due to the passage of the race caravan, traffic on the M17 highway will be difficult and periodically blocked. A complete traffic stoppage on the section from Mostar northwards, i.e., towards Sarajevo, is planned from 11:00 to 14:00. Traffic flow from Sarajevo towards Mostar will be difficult and slowed along the entire section, as vehicles will follow behind the race caravan at an average speed of 40 km/h all the way to Mostar, where the race will enter the city at 14:00.
Blockades have also been announced in cities and municipalities along the race route. In Sarajevo, the race start is planned for 11:00, when traffic on the M17 highway (Marshal Tito Street, the main thoroughfare in Sarajevo) will be completely blocked from the direction of Pale towards Ilidža and further towards Hadžići. At 11:15, the caravan's arrival at Ilidža is expected, at 11:45 at Hadžići, and at 12:00 at the Ivan Tunnel. After the caravan passes through each of these locations, the road opens and traffic returns to normal.
In Konjic, the caravan's arrival is expected at 12:15, and traffic will be completely blocked from 11:45 until the race passes, which is planned until 12:25. After that, traffic returns to normal. In Jablanica, the caravan's arrival is expected at 12:40, with a complete traffic blockade from 12:10 until the race passes through the town until 12:50.
The caravan's entry into Mostar is scheduled for 13:45, and traffic will be completely blocked from 13:15. In Mostar, the race will ride three laps on Kralja Tomislava Street (Avenue) on the section from the roundabout in Zalik to the intersection with Nadbiskupa Čule and Kralja Petra Krešimira streets (Spajalica buildings/old Velež). The passage of the fastest cyclist to the finish line is planned for 14:20, after which traffic returns to normal. Kralja Tomislava Street (in front of the Economics School and the Tenth Elementary School), as well as Stjepana Radića Street (from Projektant to the Zrinjski stadium), remain blocked for the winner's announcement, and the official end of the first day is scheduled for 16:30.
The organizer states that route security is provided by members of the competent ministries of internal affairs and asks all drivers and pedestrians for patience and respect for the instructions of officials, with a recommendation to plan trips in advance.
DAY 2: Saturday, 18.04.2026 (Mostar – Čapljina – Ljubuški – Grude – Ljubuški) On the second day, Saturday, 18.04.2026, the stage Mostar – Čapljina – Ljubuški – Grude – Ljubuški will be ridden, and traffic will be temporarily suspended on the Mostar – Čapljina – Ljubuški route from 12:00 to 15:00.
The start in Mostar is at 12:00 in front of Kosača, when traffic on Liska and Bulevar streets will be completely blocked, where the caravan crosses the Lučki Bridge and continues on Marshal Tita Street towards the southern camp and further towards Čapljina. A complete traffic stoppage on the M17 highway towards Čapljina will be in effect until 13:00, when the caravan enters the city. The caravan's exit from Mostar is scheduled for 12:15, after which traffic returns to normal.
In Čapljina, the caravan's arrival is expected at 12:50, with a complete traffic blockade from 12:20 to 12:55, when the race passage and traffic normalization are planned. In Ljubuški, the caravan's arrival is expected at 13:20, and a complete blockade has been announced on the M6 highway (Ante Starčevića Street) from 12:50. The race's passage through Ljubuški is planned until 12:55, after which traffic returns to normal.
The caravan then continues towards Drinovci, where arrival is expected at 13:54. Traffic there will be completely blocked from 12:24 until the race passes, which is planned until 14:00. In Grude, the caravan's arrival is expected at 14:20, with a complete traffic blockade from 13:50 to 14:28, when traffic returns to the regular regime.
The return to Ljubuški and the stage finish are planned around 14:50, and the passage of the fastest cyclist to the finish line is expected at 15:00. After the caravan passes, traffic returns to normal, but Zrinskofrankopanska Street (in front of the municipal building) remains blocked for the winner's announcement. The official end of the second race day is announced for 17:00.
DAY 3: Sunday, 19.04.2026 (Ljubuški – Stolac – Neum) On the third day, Sunday, April 19, the final race stage heading towards the coast will be ridden, and traffic will be under special regulation on the Ljubuški – Stolac – Neum route.
The start in Ljubuški is at 12:00 in front of the municipal building, when traffic on Zrinskofrankopanska Street and on the M6 highway (Ante Starčevića Street) will be completely blocked. The caravan then goes to Vitina at 12:10, and then to the turn for the Orahovlje border crossing at 12:15, from where it continues towards Grab and further to Bijača. The caravan's exit from Ljubuški is scheduled for 12:05, after which traffic returns to normal.
In Stolac, the passage of cyclists is expected around 13:30, and traffic will be completely blocked from 13:00 to 13:35, when the race's passage through the town and the return of traffic to the regular regime are planned. On the Stolac – Neum highway, a complete blockade is announced from 13:00 to 14:00.
The race's entry into Neum is planned around 14:40, while the passage of the fastest cyclist to the finish line is expected at 15:00. After that, traffic returns to normal, but Zrinskofrankopanska Street (in front of the municipal building) remains blocked for the winner's announcement, and the official end of the third stage and the entire race is scheduled for 17:00.
Organizers ask citizens to follow the instructions of police on the ground, support the athletes with safe traffic flow, and keep in mind that after the last vehicle from the caravan passes, traffic will be successively released. They thank all traffic participants for their understanding.
