CarPlay users can now more easily call and message their friends and family via WhatsApp directly through the car's interface. WhatsApp previously had integration with CarPlay, but with limited functionality based on Siri assistant. The new app features a fully native CarPlay interface with a list of recent conversations and call history, along with a card for favorite contacts. There are quick-access buttons for sending messages via dictation or making calls, which facilitates communication. The updated WhatsApp CarPlay app has been in the testing phase since last week. WhatsApp users can access the new CarPlay app by updating WhatsApp on their iPhone to the latest version and then connecting the device to a CarPlay-compatible vehicle.
