The blood donation campaign was organized by the EUFOR Medical Team in cooperation with the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the message that such activities directly contribute to saving lives and improving the quality of treatment for patients in need of blood.
The organizers emphasize that blood donation is a simple yet powerful act of solidarity and compassion for citizens in need of assistance. By participating in this action, EUFOR soldiers and civilian staff reaffirm the fundamental values of their mission and strive to provide concrete support to all residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina facing health challenges.
EUFOR Commander Major General Fronda highlighted that mission personnel continuously support blood donation actions, confirming their long-term commitment to humanitarian activities aimed at the citizens of BiH.
"Blood donation is a noble act that fills us with pride and encourages us to continue our mission with even more enthusiasm. We are proud to have been able to participate in this activity and wish to encourage young people to consider such donations because it is a simple act, requires little time, and can help someone in distress," said General Fronda.
EUFOR states that they will remain committed to providing support to all citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future, especially those in need.
They note that initiatives like this contribute to strengthening trust and deepening the ties between the EUFOR mission and the residents of BiH, which have been built over many years of cooperation on the ground.
