While euphoria grows, one foreign player quietly builds a professional career, and his name is Rifet Kapić. The midfielder for Lechia Gdańsk is playing in top form and continues to attract attention. He shone again, contributing to his team's 4-2 victory with a spectacular long-range goal against Korona. Although he is 30 years old and has rich experience, Kapić is still waiting for his senior national team debut. His numbers this season speak for themselves—26 appearances, five goals, and three assists—but a call-up from the federation is still missing. "I would give anything to go to the World Cup. I believe I can help the national team, but it doesn't depend on me. I hoped to get a chance through the extended squad and preparations," Kapić said honestly to Radio Gdańsk. Support for him also comes from the club. Coach John Carver has publicly stood behind his player. "I don't see any reason why he shouldn't have a chance to go to the World Cup," Carver said, for which Kapić is grateful. However, the midfielder admits that contact with the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been established. "Maybe the problem is that I don't have an agent," he added. Looking at the current national team roster, it's clear that the competition is fierce. In Kapić's position, there are players like Ivan Šunjić, Ivan Bašić, Benjamin Tahirović, and Amir Hadžiahmetović, who have already been given opportunities in important matches. The reality is that his potential entry into the team without prior experience would be a surprise but also a potential gain. However, given that the national team is already formed and preparing for the world's biggest showcase, there may not be much room for experiments. In his career, Kapić has played for Varnsdorf, Gorica, Grasshoppers, Sheriff, Sarajevo, Paderborn, Krivbas, Valmiera, and Lechia, where he remains a member today.
