A large number of believers gathered, attending the liturgy in peace and prayer, and sending messages of peace and unity. Orthodox believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the world today celebrate Easter, one of the greatest and most joyous Christian holidays, symbolizing the victory of life over death, good over evil, and light over darkness. Easter is observed as the feast of Christ's resurrection and is a symbol of the victory of life, hope, and renewal. According to belief, Jesus Christ rose on the third day after his death. Therefore, believers greet each other with the words "Christ is risen โ Truly He is risen." After the liturgy, believers traditionally gather in a family setting, around a rich table with the indispensable colored eggs, further emphasizing the spirit of community and joy of this great holiday.
