Special measures are being introduced at the "Abdulah Nakaš" hospital due to a large number of patients with severe respiratory infections.

The Commission for Hospital-Acquired Infections at the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital in Sarajevo is introducing additional stringent temporary measures to completely restrict patient visits due to a significant increase in the number of patients with severe forms of acute viral respiratory infections.

Patients' personal items, labeled with name, surname, and department, can be left at the reception of the hospital's ground-floor visiting entrance from 12 to 3 PM. It is recommended to deliver only essential items, as the hospital is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings. For patients in the Garrison, items can be delivered during the same period at the Garrison building. An exception applies to patients hospitalized in intensive care units, where visits may only be permitted with prior approval from the department head and strict adherence to all current epidemiological measures. These measures are introduced to prevent and curb the spread of respiratory infections, and to protect the health of patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. The epidemiological situation is continuously monitored, and measures will be adjusted according to its development, with the public being promptly informed, as stated by the hospital.
