The funds were allocated during the fourth grant ceremony of the Regional Challenge Fund (RCF), organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was also attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton, Denis Osmankić.

This call supported 12 of the most successful projects from Bosnia and Herzegovina, aimed at enhancing vocational education and strengthening cooperation with the economic sector. Out of a total of 187 applications from Western Balkan countries, 32 were submitted from BiH, and the selected projects from BiH were supported with approximately 4.9 million euros.

As announced by the relevant ministry, two projects come from the Una-Sana Canton. The first, worth 390,000 euros, is being implemented by the Mixed Secondary School Sanski Most and the Mixed Secondary School Bosanski Petrovac, while the second grant of 360,000 euros was awarded to the First Secondary School "Dr. Husein Džanić" in Velika Kladuša.

Minister Osmankić congratulated school directors Enver Bajraktarević, Amir Džanić, and Nerdet Delić, emphasizing the importance of these projects for developing a higher-quality vocational education system in the canton.

The Ministry stated that the projects focus on in-demand occupations such as CNC operators and welders, with grant funds directed toward the procurement of modern equipment. This will enable higher-quality implementation of practical training, aligned with labor market needs, and enhance students' competencies in the fields of CNC technology, automation, and energy-efficient solutions in the metal industry.

The implementation of the projects also envisages intensive cooperation with economic entities, which will actively participate in organizing practical training, further strengthening the dual education model in the Una-Sana Canton.
