He spoke about when his love for various forms of art emerged. "It started quite spontaneously. When I was about four or five years old, I got my first camera and began creating imaginary scenarios and sketches in my head, which over time became a bit more serious. Since the sixth and seventh grades of elementary school, I’ve been in this field, so I’ve been in this world for about 12 years, trying to progress more and more every day," he said.
This young author revealed which films he has worked on so far and what achievements these projects brought. Prijić is the author of about 39 short films, which are non-commercial. "The problem was the lack of a platform and generally a lack of space in society to place them on any charts. Still, I think all these films reached those they needed to reach. I would highlight the last film we made, 'Diversum' or 'The One Who Is Different,' which we worked on a year ago. It is the largest film project made solely on the initiative of young people and talks about the marginalization of artists in our society. Behind all these films, no matter how much my name is there, many more people are behind it. They are all my peers, colleagues, people who believed in what I want to do," he conveyed.
The films he has made so far have achieved significant success. Prijić further notes that what is shown on the film screen represents only a fraction of the years and years behind everything. "I’ve been on a small break for about a year, forming a platform and myself in numerous spheres. Among the awards so far, I would highlight the World Festival of Student Film, where I won second place. That was in America, and at the time I wasn’t a student, but I applied as a student just to enter the competition among students. The greatest recognition for me is the fact that we brought film as an art through cities in BiH, where film wasn’t very represented at all," he said.
He emphasizes that screenings of the film "Diversum" were held in many locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as Bugojno, Jajce, and other smaller cities. "When we held a screening in Jajce, the screen had been in the basement for years, and they took it out just for that screening. That was somehow the greatest recognition for me. The honor and the possibility that I, as an individual with my team, can talk about and spread that story," he noted.
This young author explained what the most interesting part is for him when realizing a film. "I think the most beautiful part is the production process, no matter how sleepless, critical, or low-budget it may have been at the time. In the end, when you look back at it all, I would love to relive each of those days because these are things you have to experience to describe. Of course, the film screening process and when it can be commercialized a bit, then everything is very nice. Maybe the worst process is editing, but that also has to be finished," he said.
He is also the author of a book titled "Something of Mine" and revealed what it is about. "That was a long time ago. I actually write much more for my soul, and today I express that writing through creativity in videos on TikTok. I presented the book in the sixth grade of elementary school, where my teacher at the time encouraged me to start engaging in art and writing. I wrote the book over the break, hoping to bring a physical copy on the first day, but it turned out that she passed away during that break. That book remained unpublished in any physical form; it only exists digitally. I plan to somehow revive that part in digital form, like a video, someday," he said.
After films and the book, he decided to dedicate himself to TikTok as well. Recently, he has been particularly noticeable on social networks, and in the conversation, he explained how the desire to start filming came about. "As for social networks, I believe we are in a time where social networks are a tool with which you can achieve anything you want. How far you go depends on your will and dedication. I noticed that in our region, there is a lot of staging of life, or distorting the true picture of life. In all of that, I decided to show what a life without any censorship looks like. I had many psychological barriers regarding many things, and when posting the first video, I said I would present everything publicly. That really had a good psychological impact on me. It became therapy, which over time grew into a hobby and a life goal to brighten others' days," he noted.
He states that he is grateful for the growing development of his activities on social networks, as well as for the fact that his audience is becoming more massive. "I believe the way to stand out in a sea of so many people is to be who you are. I think that’s the biggest problem because today, something that isn’t normal has become normal. It has become normal to hide everything behind a screen, for everything to look perfect, and we all know that behind perfect lives are lives that are very different. I decided to highlight everything that other people discard," he said.
"Art is present in every little piece, and many suppress it." He also explained where he draws inspiration for all his creative works, from films and videos to writing. "It has happened a million times that I’m just walking and see something, some scene that is totally unrelated, or I hear a song in a café and start developing scenes. I write those scenes in a planner, and after a day, two, or three, I develop everything around it. I think art is in every little piece, and many people suppress it and label it as something that isn’t trendy. If you look at any situation in life through the spectrum of art, that problem will surely look much more beautiful," he said.
According to his opinion, art can become life, and it all depends on how it is presented. "Behind my videos and the content I present, there are much deeper themes and processes than what is shown. For each of my days, I have an idea of how it will look in the end in the form of a video. I started living and observing life that way. I think it’s a process that perfects itself over time. I believe the only way to succeed in what you do is to be who you are. Try to live your life imagining that your best friend is following you in every step of your day. That’s roughly what it looks like. I try to filter things as little as possible. If I don’t feel well, I’ll try to mask it with things that can make another person feel better."
When it comes to plans for the next period, Prijić states that he plans to work actively and continue filming. "I plan to approach filming for TikTok much more seriously. I’m already in that process, but I want to design a few series that I will film. As for films, my biggest desire is to show the filmmaking process. I want to show that you don’t need a huge budget to make something quality," Prijić said at the end of the interview for Klix.ba.
