The military police announced that a 48-year-old man was arrested in the town of Vietri sul Mare. He is considered a powerful figure within the organized crime group Camorra in Naples and is listed as one of Italy's most dangerous fugitives. Mazzarella was with his wife and two children at the time of the arrest and did not resist. The Mazzarella clan is known for its involvement in counterfeiting money in Naples. A number of patrol boats also participated in the arrest, positioning themselves along the coast. Last month, police detained 16 individuals allegedly linked to the Mazzarella clan on charges of cyber fraud. At the rest stop, police also found three luxury watches, around 20,000 euros, several fake documents, and mobile phones.
