This exhibition, through a selection of paintings, drawings, and cartoons, as well as the screening of the animated film "Žarko Will Spoil the Child," brings the world of everyday life seen through Tišja's unique and witty perspective. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the unique works of this artist, and the opening of the exhibition was also attended by Bosnian singer Amira Medunjanin. Additionally, the exhibition "Oni" is one of the exhibitions with which the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina marks its 80th anniversary.
The organizers of the exhibition stated that the motivation behind this event is to bring brightness, smiles, humanity, and warmth into an uncertain world. Tišja Kljaković Braić's artistic expression is based on the reduction of form and precision of observation, and through her works, she reveals complex relationships, emotions, and quiet dramas of everyday life in just a few strokes and short sentences. This artist has been present on the Croatian art scene for over 20 years but gained fame only when social media was conquered by the "Oni" cartoons, in which Tišja clearly and wittily portrays the daily life of a couple.
Speaking about the exhibition, Tišja previously mentioned that the repertoire of her works will be diverse. "The repertoire will include my earliest works, from brut art to lyrical painting. I am particularly pleased to present the latest paintings from the Cesta cycle as well. Don't worry, the 'Oni' cartoons are also there," she said.
The exhibition will be open to all visitors until April 25th.
