In Sarajevo, the trial of Debevac, Mehmedagić, and Pijuk has begun: They are charged with multiple criminal offenses.

The trial of the suspended President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ranko Debevac, the former Director of the Intelligence-Security Agency, Osman Mehmedagić, and a Court employee, Milisav Pijuk, who are charged with multiple criminal offenses, began today before the Special Department of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

Prosecutor of the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office, Jovan Katić, stated that during the upcoming evidentiary proceedings, he will hear 46 witnesses, six experts, and present material evidence, which will require six hours. He has provided the defenses and the Court with a written explanation detailing the circumstances on which the witnesses will testify and the points of the indictment.

The defenses had no objections to the conduct of Judge Ajla Papović-Mujan in this case but raised a complaint regarding the actions of the Special Department of the Supreme Court of the Federation, as previously reported by BIRN BiH.

Tanja Savić, the defense attorney for Debevac, said she will maintain the objection of lack of jurisdiction but will respect the final decision of the Supreme Court of the Federation.
