This program pays tribute to the rich sporting and cultural history of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event aims to bring citizens and visitors closer to the significance of the 1984 Winter Olympic Games, which placed Sarajevo among the world's Olympic centers and left a lasting legacy in the city's identity, as well as to the rich cultural and historical heritage that Sarajevo preserves through its museum institutions.

As part of the Open Doors Day, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Olympic Museum free of charge, view the permanent exhibition and valuable artifacts from the Olympic Games period, and experience authentic stories about the Olympic spirit, as well as about the historical events that have marked Sarajevo's history.

The event is intended for all generationsโ€”from the youngest to those who remember the Olympic daysโ€”with the goal of preserving and promoting Olympic values, community, and pride in Sarajevo's historical heritage, according to the Sarajevo City Museums.
