Through the works presented at this exhibition, Kemal Zukić expresses his love for Sarajevo. There are Baščaršija, Miljacka, the Cathedral... Colors, shadows, and even sounds are expressed. Rhythm, perspective, emotion—all of this is contained in Kemal Zukić's paintings featuring motifs of Sarajevo.
Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, is delighted that the Ministry had the opportunity to host such an exhibition of works and promised that collaborations will continue.
"Indeed, events like these are something we should all cherish together. We will continue such activities together, going forward," she said at the opening of the exhibition.
Kemal Zukić says that this exhibition is an important segment of his artistic and academic creativity. It is the result of his work and personal relationship with Sarajevo.
Through artistic expression, he wanted to portray Sarajevo as a space of emotion, memory, contemporary life, and his impressionistic perspective. Kemal Zukić expresses special gratitude to the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, his teachers, and the vice dean for their mentorship and support during his studies.
This program, organized by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, was further enriched by the performance of Hajrudin Varešanović (Hari Mata Hari), an entertainer and friend of the Zukić family. For this occasion, he chose the song "Lejla."
Today's event was arranged for World Autism Awareness Day, observed on April 2, reminding us how important it is to understand, accept, and respect the differences that continually enrich us.
As highlighted at today's event, autism is simply a different way of accepting and viewing the world; it is not and must not be an obstacle. This is precisely what the young artist Kemal Zukić demonstrates, who already had a solo exhibition last year. The works from that exhibition depict dinosaurs and his love for them, showcasing the richness of his inner life.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organized today's event in anticipation of the 'European Heritage Days 2026' manifestation, which will be held this year under the theme 'Heritage in Danger: Revive, Resist, Rethink.'
