After the singles matches ended in a tie, the decision on survival came down to the doubles match. Unfortunately, the Bosnian duo of Ema Burgiฤ‡ and Tea Kovaฤeviฤ‡ failed to find a solution against the in-form Moroccan pair Yasmine Kabbaj and Diae El Jardi. The Moroccan doubles team celebrated a convincing victory with a score of 6:2, 6:2. Our tennis players, under the guidance of coach Ismar Gorฤiฤ‡, put in a great effort throughout the week in Banja Luka, but the decisive points in crucial moments went to their opponents. "Although this defeat resulted in relegation to a lower division, the performances of our tennis players, especially the emerging young talents, have shown that Bosnian women's tennis has potential. Coach Gorฤiฤ‡ and the national team now face a period of analysis and preparation for the next season, where the primary goal will be to return to the Second Group of the Euro-African zone. We thank the Banja Luka audience, who stood by our team throughout all these days, offering support both in moments of celebration and in these difficult sporting times," stated the Tennis Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
