Como started the match better and led 2:0 by the 45th minute with goals from Valle and Paz. However, Inter managed to reduce the deficit in the second minute of stoppage time with a goal from Thuram.

In the first 15 minutes of the second half, Inter succeeded in turning the match around. First, the in-form Thuram equalized at 2:2, and then Dumfries scored to put Inter in the lead.

The brilliant Dumfries then scored another goal for Inter in the 72nd minute, before Da Cunha sealed the final 4:3 with a penalty goal in the 88th minute.

Inter leads the Serie A table with a nine-point advantage over second-placed Napoli, while Como is in fifth place. In the next round, Inter will host Cagliari, and Como will visit Sassuolo.
