The program is more precisely regulated, control mechanisms have been strengthened, and the protection of parents has been further improved to ensure transparent and responsible use of public funds.

Special focus has been placed on supporting families with multiple children. The new program stipulates that for families with three or more children, the third and each subsequent child will have free attendance at private preschool institutions, under clearly defined conditions.

"Our goal from the beginning has been clear: that every child has a place in kindergarten and equal opportunities for growth and development. Today, we can say we have made a significant step forward, and through further improvements to the Program, we continue to build a system that is fair, accessible, and focused on the needs of families," emphasized the Minister of Education of KS, Naida Hota-Muminoviฤ‡.

By adopting this program, the continuity of this important measure is ensured, along with the continued development of a system that is accessible, fair, and focused on the child and family.

The program is based on a partnership between the ministry, preschool institutions, and parents, with clearly defined rules and the expectation of their consistent application.

"Preschool education in KS is more accessible today than ever before. Compared to the period four to five years ago, when there were waiting lists and a large number of children outside the system, today more than 11,700 children attend preschool institutions, and waiting lists have been abolished. This result was achieved through a systematic approach and continuous investments in children and families, while simultaneously expanding capacity, improving existing facilities, and opening new kindergartens, in accordance with the actual needs of citizens. One of the key segments of this system is the Program for Co-financing Children's Attendance in Private Preschool Institutions, which now covers thousands of children and families, further increasing the accessibility of preschool education," the statement reads.

For the implementation of this program, over 17 million KM is allocated annually from the Budget of the Sarajevo Canton, confirming the continuity of investments and a clear commitment to strengthening support for families.

The co-financing program has proven its justification and has become one of the most important support measures for families in the Sarajevo Canton, contributing to a more stable daily life for parents and greater inclusion, especially of mothers, in the labor market.
