The decisions on convening the party congress defined that members will elect the central party bodies, including the selection of the party president, presidency, as well as the main board for the term 2026-2030.

The first president Haris Silajdลพiฤ‡ and numerous party members also attended the SBiH congress. However, a large number of guests from other parties are also present at the congress.

The current president of SBiH is the mayor of Novi Grad municipality in Sarajevo, Semir Efendiฤ‡, who is expected to continue serving as the party president. He also ran this year as a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the territory of the Federation of BiH.

Twenty members of the SBiH Presidency are elected by the SBiH Congress, with each cantonal and regional council of SBiH and the SBiH Council of Brฤko District of BiH having to be represented by at least one member. The remaining five members are the party president, the president of the main board, the general secretary of the party, and two members directly proposed by the president.

The SBiH Main Board has 70 members, and the congress takes into account territorial, gender, national, and age representation when selecting members.

The members of the SBiH Presidency, the presidents of the cantonal and regional councils of SBiH, as well as the SBiH Council of Brฤko District of BiH, the president of the SBiH Youth Association, and the president of the SBiH Women's Association are ex officio members of the SBiH Main Board.
