According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport, Spalletti will sign a new two-year contract valid until the summer of 2028. The former Italian national team coach initially joined the Bianconeri on a short-term deal until the end of the 2025/2026 season back in October.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus will announce the extension of Spalletti's contract "within the next 24 hours," while Tuttosport also announces the release on Friday.
Spalletti will receive a salary ranging from 5 to 6 million euros per season. Some media outlets state that it will be a base salary of 5 million euros, while others highlight a figure of 6 million euros, including bonuses. Reports suggest that Spalletti will be paid around 3 million euros for the work he will do from October until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Tuttosport claims that Juventus decided to offer Spalletti a new contract after the club's 3-0 away win against Sassuolo on January 6th and that John Elkann spoke with the head coach the evening after that match in Emilia Romagna. The match against Sassuolo was Juventus' fifth consecutive win in a seven-match unbeaten streak.
Next on the agenda for Juventus are potential contract extensions for midfielders Weston McKennie and Manuel Locatelli. On the field, the goal remains to finish the season with a secured spot in the Champions League for the 2026/2027 season, and only after learning their final league position will Juventus be able to move forward with transfer-related plans.
