Bečić is a player in the cadet category of Celje (Slovenia), and it is precisely in this country that he has also played for the youth national team selections. However, according to the Slovenian portal Planet Nogomet, scouts from the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina have strongly engaged in the battle for the young Celje player and want to bring him into their ranks. As they stated, the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina sees him as a great potential for the cadet selection of our country.
Bečić already drew attention to himself last season in the under-15 selection as the second top scorer of his team (seven goals in 15 matches), and his feat against Krka is also remembered, when he needed only six minutes to score three goals.
Although he has played less for Celje's cadets this season, accumulating a total of 13 minutes in the last five matches, he still manages to draw attention to himself in a very short time and seize every opportunity given. He proved this in the match against Mura, when he needed only eight minutes after entering the game to assist in the goal for 4:0, and he reacted similarly in the previous match against Radomlje. There, he was on the field for only two minutes when he already participated in the action that sealed Celje's 2:0 victory.
Such efficiency in limited time has not gone unnoticed, as the Bosnia and Herzegovina U-16 national team has already shown interest in Emar Bečić and has already contacted the young player. This would be just one in a series of reinforcements for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team who could have also played for Slovenia, with the latest examples being Tarik Muharemović and Arjan Malić, proof that Emir Spahić and the team are doing an excellent job scouting our footballers across Europe and the world.
