The program is slowly progressing, and Sony has announced a sort of contest through which one lucky fan will be placed inside the game "Gran Turismo 7," but in a "miniaturized" format. The gamer's photo will be inserted as a character portrait, and they will also have the opportunity to design a logo and the exterior of the vehicle.
This person will also travel to Los Angeles to participate in a full-body scan, but Sony has not said what they will do with it. After all, Gran Turismo 7 is a racing game without many full-body models walking around.
Fans must go through many hurdles to be considered for placement. There is a traditional application process, but also video interviews and other things. The promotion is available to players in America, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia.
Of course, new PlayStation games are also needed where gamers can insert their scanned characters, and Sony hasn't exactly provided a rich offering of first-party titles in this generation.
