Both partners have children from previous relationships, and Xavier has now shared his thoughts on his father's new partner.
Indeed, Xav was a guest on the podcast "Can’t Be Censored," where he described Katy Perry as super sweet and down-to-earth. Trudeau has three children from his marriage to his ex-wife Sophie—Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien—while Perry has a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
"She's super sweet. She's really down-to-earth. She's great," said 18-year-old Xav, adding, "I think my dad is happy, and that's the most important thing."
Xav also revealed that he is involved in music himself and sometimes sends his songs to Katy Perry to get her opinion and advice.
"When I'm really satisfied with a song, I send it to her. She always gladly gives me advice or tells me what I should change," he explained.
Additionally, Xav mentioned that seeing photos of his father with Katy Perry in the media feels completely normal to him: "It's like any other picture of my dad and mom, or just my dad."
When asked how he deals with negative comments online, Xav said he sticks to the advice he was given from a young age.
"My whole life, I've been told: 'Don't read the comments.'" However, he admitted that criticisms sometimes affect him: "I guess it's ingrained in my brain, but it helps me when someone comments on my video, shares it, or likes it," he concluded.
