In an interview with the Italian newspaper Libertร from Piacenza, Inzaghi, who just turned 50, clearly emphasized that he is satisfied with his decision to leave Italy last summer and move to Saudi Arabia. "I am flattered by the interest, but I am really doing well here. I still have one year left on my contract and I am not thinking about leaving," Inzaghi stated. Although he reportedly earns around 27 million euros per year, the former Inter Milan coach claims that finances were not the decisive factor. "Of course, it's nice to earn a lot, but I didn't come here for the money. I needed a break from the immense pressure in Italy. The years at Inter were fantastic, but also extremely stressful," he explained. He added that in Saudi Arabia, he has found an ideal balance between top-level football and a more peaceful way of life. Inzaghi also reflected on the crisis in Italian football, particularly the fact that Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup for the third consecutive time. "That saddens me deeply. I am 100 percent Italian, and my brother Filippo Inzaghi was a world champion. However, I am convinced that Italian football will recover soon," he said. Since arriving at Al Hilal, Inzaghi has achieved fantastic results. In 38 matches, he has recorded 30 wins and eight draws, with no losses, across competitions such as the Saudi league, the AFC Champions League, and the King's Cup. With an average of 2.46 points per match in the league, it is clear that Inzaghi feels excellent in his new environment and currently has no plans for change.
