The Rolls-Royce Coachbuild collection is a limited series of handcrafted vehicles that offer many bespoke features similar to models like the Droptail or Sweptail, but are somewhat more accessible. Rolls-Royce will offer over 100 examples of these special vehicles to customers and will collaborate with them to tailor the cars to their desires.
The first model in this new Coachbuild collection is stunning and is named Project Nightingale.
Project Nightingale remains true to its bespoke vehicle roots with a custom body and unique design that cannot be found anywhere else in the lineup. Based on the same platform as the current Spectre, Project Nightingale is powered by two electric motors, providing it with at least 585 horsepower, matching if not exceeding the standard Spectre.
The powertrain is just a small part of what makes this vehicle special. Project Nightingale features a breathtaking open-top design inspired by previous models. It incorporates design principles from the Streamline Moderne style of the Art Deco era, which was extremely popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
The car itself is massive, measuring 5.9 meters in length, nearly the same as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, but Project Nightingale is exclusively a two-seater. It also comes with a large and beautiful set of 24-inch wheels, the largest ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce model.
The interior details are no less luxurious. The seats are upholstered in pastel Charles blue leather with Grace white accents and Deep Navy inserts. The folding soft top is adorned in a light silver color.
Of course, since this Rolls-Royce lacks a fixed roof, it does not feature the recognizable Starlight headliner. Instead, there is a new Starlight Breeze Suite, consisting of 10,500 "stars" that extend from the door panels to behind the seats, "wrapping" the driver and passenger in a horseshoe shape.
Rolls-Royce will produce only 100 examples of Project Nightingale as part of the Coachbuild collection. Many of the colors and materials used here will not be found on any other Rolls-Royce available on the market.
As expected, nearly every example of Project Nightingale has already been reserved. The price has not been publicly disclosed, but it is definitely over a million dollars.
