The meeting focused on organizing and implementing adequate measures related to ritual animal slaughter ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation between competent institutions and the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of veterinary public health and food safety.

The meeting exchanged previous experiences regarding animal health control, the health compliance of meat and meat products, as well as the handling and disposal of animal waste.

The importance of continuous and coordinated cooperation between competent federal institutions and the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina was highlighted to ensure maximum safety and compliance of products of animal origin during the Eid al-Adha period.

In the upcoming period, competent federal institutions and the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina will issue additional instructions to citizens regarding the purchase and selection of animals for ritual slaughter, aiming to protect human and animal health and ensure prescribed veterinary-health control, as announced by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry, and relayed by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Office for Public Relations.
