Restored Lamborghini Miura SV goes to auction, expected to fetch millions.

Long before Lamborghini turned SV into a well-known badge on the Diablo, Murcielago, and Aventador, it quietly applied the same two letters to the Miura. This was the ultimate evolution of the car that many still consider the world's first true supercar, and among all the SVs that followed, none carry the same weight as this one.

The exterior appearance of this specific Miura SV model is truly fascinating. It is the only example painted in a dazzling shade of Tahiti Blue, with stunning gold accents on the sills and wheels. For some, the Miura is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, and when presented like this, it's hard to argue. The exterior looks absolutely phenomenal, but the interior is equally striking. White leather dominates the seats, door panels, headliner, and dashboard.

Mecum Auctions will offer the car on May 16 at its Indy 2026 event. It has only traveled 1,516 km and was restored by an Italian company, which largely explains its exceptional condition. No estimates have been released for this exotic Italian car before the auction, but it will undoubtedly sell for a multi-million dollar amount. Only 150 examples of the Miura SV were produced, and demand for them has never been higher.

Earlier this year, a red example that had traveled nearly 4,400 km sold for nearly $4.5 million. Last year, another low-mileage Miura SV sold for $4.46 million, but neither looked as good as this one.

When creating the SV, Lamborghini added upgraded Weber carburetors and a different camshaft tuning to the 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, allowing it to deliver 385 hp at 7,850 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm.
