In a peculiar war of information between Iranian media outlets close to the authorities in Tehran and Axios, which often quotes top Israeli and American officials, two completely contradictory pieces of information have been released.

First, Iranian media reported that a ship belonging to the U.S. military began to pass through before receiving a warning from the Iranian military, at which point it turned around.

However, Axios now reports that this information is inaccurate and that the destroyer successfully passed through the strait.

According to this American media outlet, alongside the destroyer, several other ships managed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and they also stated that the goal was to show commercial vessels that passage is possible.

Axios further claims that the ships passed through the strait and immediately returned, and that the entire operation was not coordinated with the Iranian military or the country's leadership.

This entire situation is unfolding as American and Iranian delegations in Islamabad are negotiating a comprehensive peace agreement.
