The match began with a slight territorial initiative from the Mostar team, which threatened as early as the fourth minute through Vranjković, but his shot from about twenty meters went wide of the goal.

In the first half, Radnik relied on a defensive block and quick counterattacks. It was from one such transition in the 38th minute that the best chance for the hosts in the first half was born. Konate skillfully led the attack, shooting diagonally from about 12 meters, but unfortunately, the ball only hit the outside of the net.

The start of the second half did not bring significant changes to the pace of the game. Zrinjski still had slightly more possession, but concrete actions were lacking. The home team again looked for their chance from a counterattack, and in the 59th minute, Morris had to make a brilliant intervention to stop a dangerous breakthrough and prevent Hrvanović from threatening Zrinjski's goal.

And just when it seemed the match would quietly come to an end without any real excitement, Radnik created a colossal opportunity to take the lead in the 76th minute. Shortly after entering the game, substitute Faraj found himself in the spotlight. First, he took an excellent shot from 14 meters, but Zrinjski's goalkeeper Karačić made a fantastic save.

However, the ball rebounded back to a Radnik player, who tried a follow-up with his left foot, but the unbeatable Karačić once again made a top-class intervention to keep his team's net untouched, and the score remained 0:0.

The return matches are scheduled for May 15, when the decision on who advances to the final will be made.
