This information was confirmed by Dragan Peuliฤ‡, President of the Transport and Transport Activities Union of ลฝRS, stating that the work was halted by employees in the executive staff of the Banja Luka, Piskavica, and Ukrina stations. The workers are reportedly outraged because, despite a promise on Friday, their health insurance was not paid. "This is devastating, especially because we have workers who urgently need medical assistance," said Peuliฤ‡, adding that one ลฝRS worker is awaiting an operation that costs about 16,000 KM without health insurance, while another is currently hospitalized in Belgrade and lacks the necessary health insurance, according to Nezavisne novine. ลฝRS has been operating at a loss for years. For the first nine months of last year, the deficit amounted to 22.5 million KM, which is 6.6 million KM more than in the same period the previous year. The financial report for the entire year 2025 has not yet been published, and the loss is expected to increase further.
