The company is known for producing highly efficient electric vehicles that combine impressive range with advanced autopilot technology. While the Cybertruck pickup model is also sold in the U.S., the most popular models in Europe, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, include the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y. Additionally, the Model Y and Model 3 have been sales leaders for years, especially in the European market, and in 2023, the Model Y became the world's best-selling car, with 1.22 million units sold, marking the first time in history that an electric vehicle has held this prestigious position. Tesla manufactures its vehicles through a network of Gigafactories worldwide, including locations in Nevada, New York, Shanghai, Berlin, and Texas, with plans to open another factory in Mexico. Each of these factories is known as a "Gigafactory" and specializes in specific models and components. One of the key factors in Tesla's efficiency is gigacastingโa technology that uses massive machines for die-casting. It is estimated that the introduction of gigacasting has allowed Tesla to reduce production costs for the Model Y by up to 40 percent. Tesla vehicles regularly receive over-the-air software updates, making them some of the most technologically advanced cars in the world. Thanks to a global network of Supercharger stations, Tesla provides owners with the comfort of long-distance travel without the fear of battery depletion. Most Registered in Sarajevo Canton Vehicles from this American company are increasingly seen on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to data obtained from the Agency for Identification Documents, Records, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a total of 100 Teslas are currently registered in the country, marking a symbolic milestone that confirms this brand is no longer just a curiosity on our roads. The majority, 70 (70 percent), are registered in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the Republika Srpska has 28 units (28 percent). At the same time, the Brฤko District records two registered units. Although not a mass phenomenon, Tesla has sparked a trend that shows continuous presence and interest. Over the past three years, including the first two months of this year, 40 units have been registered, with 25 of them being Model Y. The development of charging infrastructure and the stabilization of incentives at the national level could significantly accelerate this trend in the coming years. Geographically, the strongest concentration is recorded in Sarajevo Canton, where 33 vehicles are registered, accounting for one-third of all Teslas in the country (33 percent). This data is unsurprising considering that Sarajevo is the economic and infrastructural center of the country, with the highest purchasing power and an increasingly developed network of chargers. Model 3 Leads the List, Model Y Close Behind When it comes to models, the structure of registered vehicles reveals an interesting pattern. The Model 3 leads with 41 units (41 percent), making it the most prevalent Tesla model in Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite the Model Y achieving higher numbers globally. It is followed by the Model Y with 27 registered vehicles (27 percent), while the Model S, which belongs to the premium segment and is actually the oldest on Bosnian roads, is represented with 24 units (24 percent), a surprisingly high share for a vehicle in that price range. The Model X records the fewest registrations, with only 8 units. Looking at the years, 2023 was the most successful in terms of registrations. That year, a total of 16 Teslas were registered. The Model Y dominated with 12 units, and November was the only month in which all four models of the brand appeared simultaneously.
