A criminal complaint has been filed on suspicion that Krnjić committed the criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority and negligent work in service, announced the Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska, as the representative of the injured party - business entities from the Republika Srpska, as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has approached the Prosecutor's Office with a request to conduct an investigation, initiate proceedings, and prosecute Zijad Krnjić.

The statement recalls that Krnjić, at the meetings of the Management Board of the UIO BiH since December of last year, repeatedly voted against the adoption of amendments to the Rules on the Internal Organization of the UIO, thereby directly preventing the commissioning of the new border crossing in Gradiška.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska concludes that this involves deliberate action, direct intent (conscious blocking of the process), or at least eventual intent (conscious acceptance of the consequences of inaction), which the individual in question did not conceal in statements to the media in BiH.

"We consider, particularly legally relevant, that his public statements indicate he was aware that his vote (against) would prevent the opening of the new Gradiška border crossing, and despite this, he believes it is not important whether the crossing will be opened 'in a week, a month, or two.' He himself indicates that he is aware of the consequences but accepts or denies them, despite obvious indicators," the statement reads.
