The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team secured their second-ever World Cup qualification with a victory over Italy, followed by a well-deserved celebration after a match that was more than tense. As soon as Esmir Bajraktareviฤ converted the final penalty kick into a goal during the shootout, the Bosnian footballers donned specialized white shirts that had been prepared in advance for the celebration. The shirts bear the word "We're Coming," along with the 2026 World Cup logo. The Dragons arrived at the central celebration in Sarajevo in front of the Eternal Flame wearing these shirts and will likely keep them as a memento to remind them of their career success. Interestingly, as the portal Klix.ba learned, these shirts were not made specifically for the match against Italy but had been kept in the premises of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the match with Austria. The shirts were created ahead of the final qualifying round match against Austria in Vienna. They remained unused then but were set aside, which speaks volumes about how confident everyone in the BiH coaching staff and national team was about qualifying for the World Cup. In Austria, only 13 minutes separated the Dragons from unveiling them, as Austria scored in the 77th minute to make it 1โ1, securing their World Cup spot and sending BiH to the playoffs.
