His acting career began in 1953 at the National Theater of Bosanska Krajina in Banja Luka. He spent the last years of his life in Pula.
He appeared in over 40 film productions, including "March on the Drina," "Walter Defends Sarajevo," "Konjuh Planinom," "Diversants," and "The Ninth Wonder in the East."
He also acted in the western "Winnetou I," directed by Harald Reinl. He will also be remembered for his monodrama "Socrates' Defense and Death."
Friends are bidding farewell to Husein Čokić on social media, among them Bosnian-Herzegovinian journalist Dževdet Tuzlić.
