The air temperature in Zenica is 7°C, while in the canton area it ranges from 3°C to 8°C, further contributing to snowmelt and rising water levels.
Due to the overflow of the Jablanica River, the road communication on the regional route Zavidovići - Doboj, at the location Bijela ploča, has been closed. The northern entrance and exit to Maglaj are completely closed, and the underpass in Liješnica under the main road M-17 is also closed to traffic.
On-site are members of the Maglaj Police Station who are regulating traffic and setting up warning tapes, with personnel from civil protection and the Professional Firefighting Unit of Maglaj engaged, as well as workers from the Maglaj Municipal Public Company.
Due to weather conditions, rain, and snowmelt, there has been an increase in the water levels of all rivers in the area of the City of Zavidovići. The highest rise was recorded in the populated areas of Maoča, Ribnica, and Stipin Han, where the water level of the Krivaja River is very high.
As a consequence of such weather, landslides have also been recorded, with one reported in the Local Community of Ribnica, on the road towards the settlement of Mujići.
In the area of Tešanj, due to a landslide in the populated area of Mekiš, a temporary traffic suspension is in effect on the unclassified road Društveni centar - Stadium - Gornji Mekiš (Karapandžići).
Competent services are monitoring the situation on the ground, and citizens are advised to exercise caution and follow the instructions of the competent services.
