In the early morning hours, work began on installing an electromagnetic flow meter on the DN 500 distribution pipeline at the location of Sulejman ef. Musić Street, at the corner with Safeta Hadžić Street.
"All available teams were on-site from 8:00 AM, and the work is proceeding according to the planned schedule. The water production and distribution service carried out timely water shutdown and controlled system drainage, creating conditions for uninterrupted execution of the intervention," stated VIK.
According to their field information, the dismantling and cutting of the existing DN 500 pipeline were successfully completed in the afternoon hours.
"After finishing the process of pumping water out of the shaft, the installation of the new electromagnetic flow meter will commence," said VIK.
They emphasized that the implementation of this modern device enables significantly more precise monitoring of water flow, more efficient detection of losses and faults in the network, as well as a faster response in case of disruptions.
"The new system further contributes to improving planning and optimizing the operation of the entire water supply system. These activities represent a continuation of the strategic process of modernizing and digitizing the water supply network, aiming to increase system security and reduce water losses," announced VIK.
Upon completion of the work, gradual water release into the system is expected, while full stabilization of the water supply is anticipated in the evening hours.
