Gracić passed away on April 6 at the age of 66. He died suddenly while on vacation in Greece. Last Wednesday, he suffered a heart attack while on the terrace of his weekend home, after which he fell into a coma. After several days of fighting, Gracić passed away.
Nijaz Gracić will be remembered as a great sports worker, who made Sarajevo's Olimpik a hit in the domestic championship, with the crowning achievement coming in 2015 when the popular Vukovi won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup and secured a place on the European stage.
Gracić was also known as an equally successful businessman, the owner of the well-known company Europlakat.
The final farewell for Nijaz Gracić was held today at the Vlakovo city cemetery, where a funeral prayer was first performed, followed by the burial.
A large number of family members, friends, and colleagues from the sports world, who had collaborated with Gracić throughout his long career, gathered at Vlakovo.
