Magiera, who until his death worked as a member of the professional staff of the Polish national team, collapsed this morning during a running training session and died at the scene.

The Polish Football Association issued a statement on Friday morning confirming his death.

"The Polish Football Association has received the news of the death of Jacek Magiera, assistant coach of the Polish national team, with deep sorrow and immense regret. The Association expresses its most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Jacek Magiera. At the same time, we ask that the privacy and peace of his dearest ones be respected during this very difficult time," stated the Polish Football Association.

In a not-so-long coaching career, which he began independently in 2014, Magiera also reached the Champions League with Legia Warsaw. He also worked at Zaglebie, Slask, and with Polish national teams, both youth and senior.
