Donald Trump Jr. was supposed to hold several meetings with officials from the Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, and a visit to the estate of Milorad Dodik in Bakinci was also planned.
Due to the arrival of Trump's son, police surveillance has been increased in Banja Luka, so a large number of police officers, as well as armored vehicles, have been deployed in the very center of the city, near the Palace of the President of the RS and other entity institutions.
Additionally, a traffic blockade has been in effect since 12:00 in the part of the city where Trump Jr. is arriving, and a 200-meter perimeter will be established around the Banski Dvor, during which even pedestrians will not be allowed to approach.
Igor Dodik, the organizational secretary of the SNSD and son of the SNSD president, said that this is a friendly visit that came about at his invitation.
Dodik did not reveal any details of the visit in terms of whether he would discuss potential projects and investments with Trump, who had previously expressed interest in investing in these areas. Indeed, together with his son-in-law Jared Kushner, he had planned to build Trump Tower in Belgrade but abandoned it due to pressure from the Serbian public that the project was being carried out illegally.
