This traditional competition is held in honor of April 6th, Sarajevo City Day, under the patronage of the City Administration. It is listed in the European Aquatics calendar and represents one of the most significant sporting events in the region.
At this year's jubilee edition, swimmers from Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will compete, guaranteeing top-level competition and exciting races.
"Alongside clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will host many teams from the region. We expect around 400 competitors who will vie for their best times. We invite citizens to come to Otoka and support our swimmers, among whom are certainly future national team representatives of BiH," stated Minel Bakal, coach of PK Bosna.
Swimming Club Bosna currently has about a hundred members of all ages, with a focus on developing top athletes.
"We accept children from the age of five onward. We are not a typical swimming school. Our primary goal is for children, after mastering the basics, to stay within the system and grow into quality competitors," concluded Bakal.
