The driver, identified by initials ลฝ. S., with a blood alcohol level of 1.8 per mille, lost control of the vehicle and crashed a Peugeot into three parked cars. The traffic accident occurred during the night at 2:45 AM. The cars were parked by the canal, and after the impact, they are now on the very edge of the channel. The drunk driver was arrested, and the investigation was conducted by officers from the Bijeljina Traffic Safety Police Station.
