Following the qualification of our national team for the 2026 World Cup, a previously unseen childhood photo of Zmaj has been released, showing him with significantly longer hair than he has now.
This 28-year-old was born in Hamburg, where he spent ten years in the youth academy of the German giant before moving to RB Leipzig's youth setup in 2014.
He also played for the Spanish clubs Alavés and Almería, the French side Sochaux, and the Swiss team St. Gallen before returning to the Bundesliga in 2020.
In the top tier of German football, he has played for Freiburg, Augsburg, and Stuttgart, where he is currently a member. This season, he has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 30 appearances for Stuttgart.
For the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, he has scored four goals in 38 appearances.
