In a speech delivered in Budapest, Orban acknowledged that the election result is unfavorable for his political bloc. "Although the election result is not yet final, it is understandable and clear. For us, it is painful but clear. The responsibility and opportunity to govern have not been given to us," said Orban, adding that he has already congratulated the winners. He thanked his supporters for their engagement during the campaign, emphasizing that his party managed to mobilize around two and a half million voters. "We have never before had so many people involved in a campaign, nor have we worked this hard. Two and a half million people placed their trust in us, and they still do today," he conveyed. Orban stressed that his political option will continue to operate from the opposition. "What this result means for the fate of our homeland and people, time will tell. But regardless of everything, we will serve our country and the Hungarian people even from the opposition," he said. He added that the focus in the coming period will be on strengthening the political base and communities that support his party. "The weight of power is no longer on our shoulders. Our task is to strengthen our communities. We will never betray the two and a half million people who placed their trust in us," he emphasized. At the end of his address, Orban sent a message that he never gives up. "We have gone through difficult and beautiful years together, but one thing everyone should know: we never give up. Never, never, never," concluded Orban.
