In a post on platform X, Stevandić did not congratulate opposition leader Péter Magyar on his victory but expressed the opinion that Orbán, despite the defeat, remains an important political figure in Europe, comparing him to the mythical phoenix. "Orbán lost the political battle but laid the foundations for European sovereigntism, anti-migration, and anti-war policies. Politically, he remains in the position of a phoenix," stated Stevandić. He added that, in his opinion, the Hungarian prime minister "poured the foundations of Serbian-Hungarian friendship" and assessed that he "gracefully acknowledged defeat." In the post, Stevandić also suggested that Magyar is the political successor to Orbán's policies, calling him "his pupil," along with the question: "Is he leaving or starting again?" Recall that the elections in Hungary marked a significant change in the political landscape of that country, and the results have sparked numerous reactions in the region and beyond.
