The race recorded over 1,000 registered participants from more than 70 cities and 11 countries, with a total of 874 competitors successfully crossing the finish line, confirming that Tešanj 5K has grown into one of the most significant recreational and sporting events in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
According to official results available through the OnTime Timing system, the race proceeded with a high level of organization, safety, and professionalism.
This year, Tešanj 5K was not just a sporting event but a full-day program that gathered a large number of citizens, families, and visitors.
The musical and entertainment segment was handled by Nermin Puškar, the Kakanj Wind Orchestra, and DJ Inis, who kept the event's energy high throughout the day and evening.
Special emphasis was also placed on content for the youngest attendees, with various fun activities such as inflatables, face painting, mascots, and a rich sponsor program, further enriching the overall event.
A large number of citizens from Tešanj and surrounding areas took to the streets to support the runners, creating an exceptional atmosphere along the entire route.
In terms of sports results, in the men's competition, the fastest was Uroš Gutić with a time of 16:01, second place was won by Žarko Jovanović (16:05), while third place went to Amor Mahmutbegović (17:09).
In the women's competition, the victory was taken by Dijana Terzić with a time of 21:14, ahead of Emine Hojkurić (22:04) and Đemka Novak (22:26).
Organizing an event of this scale required serious and long-term preparation lasting over six months, and what makes this event particularly valuable is the fact that it was carried out almost entirely on a voluntary basis.
Behind Tešanj 5K is a team of people united around the idea of giving Tešanj a modern, urban event that promotes sports, a healthy lifestyle, and quality time for the whole family.
The organizers emphasized that the realization of such an event would not have been possible without the support of partners, sponsors, institutions, and a large number of volunteers.
They particularly highlighted that the greatest thanks go to the citizens of Tešanj, who embraced this event as their own and supported it in large numbers. It was precisely thanks to their energy and support that the atmosphere, felt at every moment, was created and marked this year's edition of the race.
After an extremely successful second edition, the organizers are already planning the next steps. The long-term vision is for Tešanj 5K to grow into a multi-day event with even richer content for participants, citizens, and visitors, further positioning Tešanj as a recognizable destination for sports tourism.
