The tournament is listed in the competition calendars of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) and the European Shooting Confederation, with organization support from the City of Sarajevo, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS, Bhtelecom, Telemach BH, JP BH Pošta, and sponsorship from the Olympic Committee of BiH, KJP ZOI 84, and Grafika Šaran.
On the first day of competition, shooting took place in individual and team events.
In the senior air pistol discipline, the Moldovan team CSAN secured first place with a lead of just two rounds over the home team SK Sarajevo, hitting 1676 rounds. Third place went to the Montenegro team with 1670 rounds.
In the individual competition, first place also went to Moldova. Nikita Popusoi hit 574 rounds and celebrated a decisive victory. Second place was won by Boris Filipovac (SK Sarajevo) with 569 rounds, and third by Boris Gramnjak from Croatia with 568 rounds.
Among juniors, first place was taken by Nichita Popusoi, second by Slovenian Andrej Škrabec (SD Škofja Loka), and third by Husjen Kofrc (SK Sarajevo).
In the team competition for senior women in air pistol shooting, the SK TRB team from Bijeljina convincingly won first place with 1639 rounds, ahead of the Montenegro team with 1624 rounds. Third place went to the SK Visoko team with 1596 rounds.
In the individual competition for senior women in air pistol, Slovenian representative Anja Prezelj decisively won first place with a solid 573 rounds. Second place went to Montenegrin representative Nevena Šaranović with 565 rounds, and third was Sofija Rakić from SK TBR with 558 rounds.
Among junior women, first place went to Sofija Rakić, second to Moldovan Ana Marian, and third to Macedonian Biljana Karađorđeva. In the senior women's air rifle event, the winner was uncertain until the last shot.
However, with a margin of just 0.8 rounds, the Montenegro team came out on top with 1855.7 rounds, while the SK Sarajevo competitors had 1854.9 rounds and took second place. Third were the competitors from SD I Pohorski bataljon Ruše, Slovenia, with 1850.6 rounds.
Individually, first place went to Zakira Pušina with 629.8 rounds, second to Croatian representative Tea Ilijević with 629.0 rounds, and third to Farah Onešćuk from SK Sarajevo with 628.3 rounds.
Among junior women, the best was Zakira Pušina, second Farah Onešćuk, and third Marijana Mijatović from SK Tešanj.
In the team competition for senior men in rifle, first place went to Slovenian competitors SD I Pohorski bataljon Ruše with 1865.9 rounds, winning by just 2.2 rounds over the home team SK Sarajevo. Third place also went to the Slovenian team SD Trzin with 1858.7 rounds.
In the individual competition, the winner was uncertain until the end, with decimals deciding the outcome. Competitor Florjan Klemenčič from SD I Pohorski bataljon Ruše won with 624.7 rounds, ahead of his clubmate Galu Potrč with 624.3 rounds. Third place went to local competitor Benjamin Fazlija with 624.0 rounds. The same competitors also won medals in the junior competition.
On the second day of the 18th International April 6th Tournament, senior women and men competed in individual air weapon events, with finals organized according to ISSF rules.
Our top competitor Farah Onešćuk shone again, winning a very exciting final ahead of Tea Ilijević. Farah Onešćuk hit 250.2 rounds, while Tea Ilijević had just 0.7 rounds less. Third was Zakira Pušina with 227.5 rounds.
In the senior men's rifle event, Florjan Klemenčič delivered another excellent performance, winning ahead of last year's title defender Luka Lukić from SD Trzin. Klemenčič hit 247.2 rounds, while Lukić had 245.7 rounds. Third was Nejc Klopčič from SD Trzin with 225.7 rounds.
In the senior women's air pistol discipline, Anja Prezelj again triumphed ahead of Sofija Rakić. Prezelj had 236.7 rounds, while Rakić hit 232.3 rounds. Third was Biljana Karađorđeva from Macedonia.
In the senior men's air pistol event, Nikola Jovičić defended his title from last year with 234.5 rounds. Second was Alen Hadrović from Montenegro with 231.4 rounds. Third place was won by Moldovan representative Nikita Popusoi with 209.6 rounds.
Numerous congratulations were extended to the Sarajevo Shooting Club, with recognition from team and national representatives for the excellent tournament organization, ensured by the competitors, coaches, and other club activists.
