Indie Sales will launch international sales for the film at the Cannes Market. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2027. The plot of "Quo Vadis, Aida?" takes place immediately after the fall of Srebrenica in 1995, reports Variety. Upon learning that her sons, taken by members of the Army of Republika Srpska, might be alive and held in a camp, Aida begins a search through a refugee center filled with thousands of displaced women. They realize no one will help them. Led by Aida, they confront the injustices and deceptions of a political system built on secret deals with war criminals. The regional cast is joined by a global nameโ€”British actor Simon McBurney, known for "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation." He was a guest at the Sarajevo Film Festival last year. It was previously announced that legendary Irish actor Liam Cunningham, known for his role in "Game of Thrones," is also part of the cast. Additionally, Belgian actor Arieh Worthalter and German actor Dmitrij Schaad are involved.
