The center is being built at an attractive location on the banks of the Drina River, and the work is in an advanced stage. This story began almost four years ago, with the main reason for the delay in realization being finances. Funds have been secured from multiple sources, including the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry for Displaced Persons and Refugees, while a smaller portion of support came from local donors.
"It is a center that will feature decorative lakes, trails, benches, a playground, a children's play area, and a park. The location also leaves room for future expansion if the need for additional facilities arises," said Mujo Sofradลพija, the mayor of Foฤa municipality in the FBIH.
Although the work was initially scheduled to be completed by the end of January, unfavorable weather conditions extended the deadline. However, with the arrival of warmer weather, the work has resumed and is proceeding according to plan.
The sports and recreational center is expected to soon become a new oasis for sports and recreation in Ustikolina, attracting citizens of all generations and contributing to the development of the local community.
