Nurkic's contract with the Utah Jazz has expired, and when asked by a reporter about staying with the Jazz, he responded that he wishes to remain with the club.

He emphasized that he has left everything up to his agent and that his main goal is to return to Utah, though not everything depends on him.

"I mean, that's a good question, but I think it's kind of too early. To be precise, it will be easy to come back, and I want to come back to your question. I love everything about the city and the team. It was one of those things I didn't expect, and in the end, it turned into a beautiful thing, like seeing the sun after the rain. That's the closest I can explain it," said Nurkic, adding:

"But also, my contract has expired, and I'm a free agent. It's a complicated thing, and you want to be a part of it, so I can't really talk too much about it. We'll see how my agent handles it, so I'll leave it to him and the team to resolve that question. You know, I want to come back. That will be, I think, the main goal, but you know, you can't really promise anything these days."

In his NBA career, Nurkic has played for Denver, Portland, Phoenix, Charlotte, and the Utah Jazz, while in Europe, he represented Cedevita and Zadar.
