Netflix says this makes it "the perfect companion for long flights or shopping trips." The company promises a "constantly growing library of games" for children. The platform launched with titles based on some extremely popular franchises. There is something called "Playtime with Peppa Pig," which is a collection of mini-games featuring Peppa and friends. There is also a game set in the "Sesame Street" environment, where children can "hang out with characters like Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar, and other beloved puppets." This is another collection of mini-games, including a memory game, a connect-the-dots game, and much more. The catalog also includes several games based on Dr. Seuss characters and a title based on the "Bad Dinosaurs" series. There are other things on the platform, like a sticker collection and puzzles. Again, every title here is intended for young children. Netflix Playground is now available in the U.S. and many other parts of the world. It will be globally available from April 28. The regular Netflix app still offers access to traditional video games, although the interactive section has recently been struggling with issues. They closed their AAA game studio back in 2024 and have since removed many titles from the platform.
