Netanyahu says that U.S. Vice President JD Vance briefed him upon returning from talks with Iran in Pakistan. The Israeli Prime Minister says the Americans could not tolerate what they called Iran's brazen violation of the agreement to enter negotiations. "The agreement was that they would cease fire, and the Iranians would immediately open the straitโ€”they did not do that. The Americans could not accept that," he said. Additionally, according to Netanyahu's words, Vance told Netanyahu that the central issue from the U.S. perspective is "the removal of all enriched material and ensuring that there will be no uranium enrichment in the coming years or decades, without enrichment inside Iran. That is their focus, and of course that is important to us as well," said Netanyahu. He added that Israel supports U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to impose a naval blockade on Iranian ports, emphasizing that the two sides are in constant coordination. "Claims that there is a rift between us are completely false. The opposite is true. Anyone who has been present in these talks, and in the daily discussions we hold with the president and his team, can confirm that," he said. "This level of coordination has never existed before, neither in the history of Israel, nor in the history of the Jewish people," says Netanyahu.
